We are now accepting applications for the 2008 season. We grow strawberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, and other vegetables which are sold both on our farm and at roadside stands, and we need help picking and selling the produce. If you enjoy working outdoors, working with the public, and are personable and dependable, this is a good summer job for you. The job would consist of two 'seasons' during the summer. If hired, you would be expected to work for both seasons. Strawberries: Help is needed starting in early to mid-June with the strawberries. You will help pick berries, show customers where to pick in the fields, sort pre-picked berries, and assist customers with check-out. Hours would be 4-8 hour shifts between 6:45 am and 7 pm, with 25-40 hours a week. This job will run from around June 10 to July 1. Sweet corn: This would start around July 10. You would drive one of our trucks to the stand location (different areas around Rock County), set up and sell produce all day, before returning the truck in the evening. Hours would be 9:30-6:30, with 36-45 hours a week. You MUST have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. This job will run though the end of August, or as long a you can work before going back to school. We are also looking for 1-2 responsible persons to work during both seasons in our kitchen area. Most shifts would run from about 6 am to noon. This position would work at least 4 days per week (more days available if willing). Weekend availability is a must. This position requires independent workers that can complete tasks on their own once trained. This position could extend into the fall. Another kitchen position is available for Friday nights making donuts and pastries for the Saturday farmer's market. Work would begin around 9 pm and last about 5 hours. This person must be an independent and reliable worker. Some general sales and cleaning may be included with this position.
